How was the trip you were filming the video on?
It
was great! It was a two week trip to Antofagasta, in the north of
Chile. There were pretty good spots. It’s a small city, so skaters there
are really close. The city has a combination of downhills, hot weather
and beach, many hidden spots and really good skaters. You have to come
some day!
With wich camera are you filming? Is it a VX?
I
own a VX cam, but actually it's a combination between the VX1000,
VX2000 and vx2100. About 4 years ago I started to fix my VX cam because
it was always failing, sometimes it was a skate hit or it just broke
down. The parts are: microphone is from VX1000, the lens 3ccd and
cassette deck are from VX2100. The inner badge and monitor are from
VX2000. I call it VX3000, it’s unique.
What happened to the fisheye?
It’s super common that the board hits the
fisheye by the way I record. But it has 2 blows with the griptape.
Bastian gave the first a few years ago and the other was given by
Christian on the last trip. It’s sad when this happens but finally we
just accept it.
I like how you move the camera around while filming. What style you want to achieve when you film?
I
like to show how hard it is to ride in Santiago streets because there
are no perfect spots, often we have to go to other cities to find new
spots but not all are possible to ride. I like to film the skater the
closer possible to the lens, it gives it a unique style. My biggest
inspirations are GX1000 and Magenta.
