What is the one thing you would like me to know about you?

I’d like to drink beer and hang out with my friends.

What are you most proud of?

Still traveling. Being on trips. Mostly that’s about it. I don’t know, still being at skateboarding.

For how many years are you traveling now?

About 20 years. I started traveling when I was 13.

How many months a year are you on the road?

More than I am at home. Usually I would say at least seven or eight months. Definitely more away than I am at home. It makes coming home so much better.

Is Religion important to you?

No, not at all.

Do you follow politics.

Nope, don’t really care about it. Skateboardpolitics maybe a little bit.

What is your most treasured possession and why?

My skateboard. It is kind of corny but cool. I don’t know, my home obviously, my dogs and all that kind of shit, just being home. Family and girlfriend.

What is your favorite month of the year and why?

Summer. So I’ll go with July. Hang at the beach all day, kickt it, surf, skate. Party your ass off for 4th of July. That is always nice.

Favorite book or favorite movie?

I don’t really read too much so I’ll go with movie. I don’t know, I’ll go with a classic: “Fast Times at Ridgement High”. Or some shit like that, some fun stuff. Or the good Will Ferrell movies.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Hopefully still doing this. If not probably working somewhere, doing something. I don’t know. But Hopefully still skating. Cruising around.

You don’t get bored of it when you do it that much?

No. Different trips, different people, different good times. I can never get sick of this. I am living the life right now and I am trying to live the dream as long as possible. I am not really good at anything else and I don’t have anything else, so that’s about it. So I live this as long as I can. And I probably end up working at skateboarding after.

So you wanna be a team manager or something?

Nah, not really a team manager. It might be fun but I don’t want to take care of all the shitheads. It would be also a lot of hard times. I am one of the shitheads right now. [laughs]

Heath [Kirchart] was your teammanager, right?

That was awesome. Best dude. I didn’t know him that much but having him as manager I got to know him. He is just a fucking awesome rad dude. He is scary. Like, damn that is fucking Heath. And then you realize he is that really nice cool dude. And he has been everywhere and has done everything, so you can get a lot of information from him.

If you were an animal in the wild, what would you be?

Probably a giraffe cruising around. Tall as fuck, a weirdo. Cruising around with the posse.

Who was your hero as a child?

Andrew Reynolds, Heath and of course Ed [Templeton]. I grew up in the same town as him and saw him skating all the time in the skatepark. He doesn’t remember me, but I remembered him obviously.
